Katelyn Dover (she/her) has been an online mathematics faculty member at Grand Canyon University since October 2020. At GCU she sits administratively within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, the unit that houses the university's online mathematics instruction.
She earned her M.S. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Missouri–Columbia (2018), where she was active in the Association for Women in Mathematics. Her undergraduate degree is from Missouri Western State University (2016), with a major in mathematics (education emphasis) and a minor in physics. As an undergraduate she served as president of the Missouri Western chapter of Kappa Mu Epsilon, the national mathematics honors society, and was inducted into Kappa Delta Pi, the international education honors society.
Before joining GCU, Dover spent two years as a Teaching Specialist with the Kansas Algebra Program at the University of Kansas, where she coordinated College Algebra and Intermediate Algebra sections. Earlier roles include adjunct lecturer at Avila University, graduate teaching assistant at Mizzou, and a semester as a secondary mathematics teacher in Missouri's Nodaway-Holton School District.
Her self-listed technical skills include LaTeX, Python, and Canva alongside lesson planning and curriculum design, a comfortable blend of the technical and pedagogical sides of online mathematics teaching.
